Mike

Hello NES fans and freaks! I would like to introduce myself as the newest addition to the still-growing NES fan scene! You can call me Jesus....er- NO, no, no forget about that - call me MIKE, yes. Or my screen name, Groxx (say: grocks), if you'd like that. Either way just try to stop the urges to call me Liquid Love and we'll be best of friends.

I started this project last summer (June 2000) and have tried many different ideas with the aid of my friends, cousins, and anybody that has ever owned a Nintendo. I released a pretty bad -- insanely horrid -- Homestead.com website with only a few reviews and codes. After less than a day, I took down the site to completely take it apart and start from scratch. Since then, I have visited at least a hundred Nintendo websites (in both English and Spanish, mind you) looking for inspiration.

I wanted to re-capture my memories of what possibly could be the best source of entertainment of our time. I needed information, personality, humor, nostalgia, tributes, and interaction with other people who shared my emotions.

For about a year now, I focused heavily on those memories by purchasing more gray carts and accessories, and by playing much more of the famous box in between my sessions with school work and modern gaming (along with that other good "life stuff"). I have also taken down a few notes in this period, which eventually turned into the site you are at right now.

So -- I want you to relax, reminisce, and respond to NESplayer.com. Send me your comments, questions, experiences, hell, anything about it, to me. I want to include your letters into new sections in the future.

I look forward to hearing from you and allowing me to present some bits of entertainment. Have fun! ;)
