The story of Bucky
O'Hare begins in 1989 with the first season of "Bucky O'Hare
and the Toad Wars" in the US. Poor Bucky only survived one year
of his cartoon show but he did not go away so easily. During his successful
run after the show he had dedicated his own JAMMA four-player side-scrolling
shooter arcade cabinet in 1992, a comic book series, a line of mega
popular action figure toys, and an impressive amount of merchandise
ranging from Halloween costumes to speciality sneakers. This hare
was hot.
Bucky and gang
also made their way into the home entertainment market with a string
of VHS video tapes and a video game released by Konami on the Family
Computer and the NES in January of 1992.
