Double
Dare--the fun, original Nickeleodeon kid-oriented game show;
a popular show, at that, one even I would often watch (when
the channel actually had good shows eg.
Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude!, Ren and Stimpy, Are you
Afraid of the Dark?).
While
playing it through the Rare-developed NES game based on the
game show, I stumbled across a few unusual questions. Take
a gander.

Hmm
. . . Fidel Castro compared to art and ice cubes? (Answer
is: A)

I hope this never
reached Europe. I certainly hope not. Are these "harsh",
sarcastic questions really necessary for a children's game?
What would an American-Swiss family say after shelling out
$50 for the game and discover said joke-question.
Sure it is sort
of funny, but that's not the point. It boggles the mind as
to why the programmers included such social/ethnical commentary
inside of a Nickeleon video game.
And still yet,
my evil side says the correct answer was B.
It's sometimes more fun to choose the wrong answer than the
right one!

Haz-hah! The
time has come to claim your prizes for your winnings on the
obstacle course. Your choices: Timex-looking watch and a Walkman
style cassete player? Retail worth $200, or more likely
$20?
