We've covered domestic NES games to the tee and dabbled in the PAL-only field, so it only seems natural now to progress into the Famicom's library.

Wait! Don't leave yet! This'll be an eye-opening experience, I promise. For I went straight to the weirdest, most bizarre, and most fun Japanese NES titles that I could possibly find. As a little detour to that insanity, though, here is a quick list of must-play, mostly-sane FC games that, at all costs, must be tried out.

1. Sweet Home

2. SD Splatterhouse (Wanpaku Graffiti)

3. Ike Ike! Nekketsu Hockey Bu

4. Earthbound

Cool. Now that we're through with the more obvious titles, let's get down and dirty to acquaint us with some of the more obscure in the Japanese selection.

These games are classified under two ratings:

.......... Pac-Man Pimp: Worthy of your play time

...and...

.......... Fat Cat in the Space Ship of Shame: Too damn weird or stupid for its own good; play only to get whacked out

Games will alternate from good-to-bad as we advance through, starting off with a good title. So let's throw up our hands like we just don't care. Pump up the jam. Pump up the jam. And possibly jump up. Jump up. Continue to jump upward, then proceed to get down, because I can guarantee it's about to get freakish and there's nothing you can do about that, cat.
