Chiller by Exidy was first seen in the arcades as a shockingly bloody, sick, and gory light gun cabinet that featured scenes of torture and mutilation. AGCI, wanting to share the love of gore, ported the game to the NES the only way Nintendo would allow it--completely unauthorized and unlicensed.

"There is no time to waste. The Evil Tailsmans must be located and destroyed. If the spirits are not released quickly, they will amass an army of the undead, and take over the town!" There are 8 of these tailsmen to be found in each level, 32 in all, and if you do the math that leaves you with four stages ranging from a graveyard, a castle, and a torture chamber. The graphics could use some work, the music is abysmal, and this is a game that will make you feel like you need a shower after playing--but it's probably the most daring light-gun video game on the console, so you still have to give Chiller its propers.
