Bandit Bill
Rifle
Prize $1000
When the screen stops scrolling and the music changes, the first
boss is about to make his appearance. When the gunmen begin to roam
in, the lone barrel you saved (or should have saved) holds a POW.
Then with the lesser guys temporarily down, you'll have open room
to blast away at the "big guy."
With enough
hits, the rifleman will fall to the ground and continue to fire
forward while now wriggling on the ground. You can't hit him when
he's in this position, but if you stay at either one of his sides
he won't hit you, so wait until he comes back up and give him another
side shot for him to hit the dirt again. Follow this pattern.

Cutter
Boomerang
Prize $12,000
You may want to upgrade your weapon before you take on Cutter. It'll
mean less hits to make him fall.
Anyway, what
you need to do in this scenario is avoid the two circling boomerangs
that Cutter throws by instantly moving forward when they swoop nearby.
Then you can fire off a shot when they're in the air behind you
if you'd like. The problem is, unlike the first sitting duck boss,
when the boomerangs are flying he has the tendency to dodge to the
side making him a harder target. The good news is you don't need
to hit Cutter exactly when the 'rangs are in air. He becomes open
to an attack after a throw, no matter how long you wait to act afterward.
This means at the beginning of the fight before he throws, he is
a walking shield and it's impossible to inflict damage.
Stick with it
and upgrade that weapon of yours if you're having trouble.

Devil Hawk
Fire Ball
Prize $25,000
It's relatively simple to avoid the scattered blue fire from the cheif
when he's kept at the top of the screen--the closer he gets to you
the smaller are the gaps--so more importantly you should be more cautious
of the red flames and fire coming from the random indians that walk
in from both sides. |

Ninja
Darts
Prize $20,000
A ninja master in the wild wild west? Only in a video game! This guy
ain't so tough. His weapon of choice is darts, which come apart into
4 flying debris, and he can transport himself in a puff of smoke anywhere
in the screen making instant reaction time on your behalf a requirement.
One hit takes away a bar of life and the ninja has 5 bars in all.
You do the math, buster. |

Fatman Joe
Bomb Gun
Prize $20,000
From as far as I can tell, Fatman Joe has absolutely no relation to
rap star Fat Joe, although he does resemble him very much. Whatever
the case, the original Fatman is totin' a deadly bomb gun. The second
shopkeeper, the man, sells weapons. Make sure you are upgraded. He
is pretty slow, so both a steady flow of machine gun fire or two well
place magnum shots will end this bad boy. |

The Wingates
Machine Gun
Prize $30,000
Ahh hell! There now are two of 'em varmins to clean up! No different.
The brothers act and attack the same way: sending a barrage of machine
gun bullets at you. Make sure beforehand that you get saddled up
on a horse and equip the magnum gun.
Good luck!
