Step #1: Go to a download site to download an IRC program (mIRC in this case http://www.mirc.com) and install the .exe file.

Step #2: After it installs and the message windows are closed, right-click on the mIRC icon and you should see a screen similar to the above. Type in a full name (real or fake), e-mail address (I would recommed a fake), and a nickname that others will refer to you as. Finally, if there's someone else with your nickname your alt will show up. When your done, press 'Connect to IRC Server' (it does not matter which server is chose.)

Step #3: After your connected, type in: "/server irc.gamesnet.net", then press ENTER.

Step #4: When it is done loading, type in "/join #nes_chat", then press ENTER again.

Step #5: Yay for you! You're now inside #nes_chat! Hope you have fun and see you there.
