This Plug&Play
pirate controller was found by Lloyd Campbell from Sarnia,
Ontario. Special thanks to him for making all of this information
and pictures possible!
Lloyd found this
little gem for $5 and was uncertain if it was a Famiclone
or not. I did some research and couldn't find a single page
on any Plug&Play Famiclone models.
Here's what he
had to say about it.
Looks

It has permanantly
connected av cables and a third cable which I assume is a
power plug.

The power
connection is a pretty weird shape though. An NES power cable
fits in it perfectly. It says TV-450 on the back and has a
sticker saying "Import by The Shopping Channel Toronto
Canada Made in China".

It has a similar
port to the Famiclone in front (Genesis, Polystation?)

Inside the Plug&Play
Taking a quick
look inside, this Plug&Play was indeed a Famicom pirate.
Not only did it have the same Polystation controller port,
but also very similar features to the various Mega Joy and
Super Joy clones.

****IMPORTANT
FOR ALL NES FANS TO READ****
Lloyd made the
mistake before of plugging an official NES adapter into a
Famiclone. It fried! He was not about
to have that happen again.
Since there is
no mention of the voltage used on the actual device, I made
a list of known power sources to present to him in helping
choose a safe method:
I recommended
for him to go out to Radio Shack and pick up the lowest source
on the list, 6V, and hope for the best, or quickly try out
a higher voltage.
Lloyd was a bit
daring and carefully tried an NES AC adapter in the Plug&Play's
slot and said he got power but only squigly lines on the screen
and some buzzing.
It turns that
a SEGA Genesis AC adapter fit perfectly in the AC slot...
and, wow, it worked! That's 10V powering this thing! I certainly
do not reccommend try powering up your pirated things
with that much voltage, but I'm glad it started up! More power
to him (no pun intended)!
Here's Lloyd again describing the actual games
on Plug&Play...
After all that, it was hardly worth it.
It's a 15-in-1 with some generic sports games. I checked out
the games a little more (not much more) and there's not much
worth playing.

City A and B 2000 are some crappy games
where I have no idea what you're supposed to do.

I've included some more pics including
one of the soccer game with the date and manufacturer's name.
Even copyrighted!? Wow!

World Cup 2000 is a soccer game.

Winbolton Champ is a tennis game.

W.W.F Law is a crappy wrestling game.

Top Gun Mission is a flying sim (somewhat
entertaining and probably the best of the bunch).
Mission Impossible is Top Gun Mission again.

Autumn Hunt is a Duck Hunt rip and UFO
Shooting is another gun game - I guess you can hook up a gun
of some sort to it. I plugged a "Justifier" gun
I have into it and it made the ducks act weird - they just
went up and flew into the corner of the screen instead of
darting around. The gun wouldn't register the shots, but then
I noticed it needs a power supply. Didn't know since I've
never used the gun and don't even know what system it's for.

(Sweet
sassy molassy! Look what they've done to Duck
Hunt!)

On The Road, World Rally Champ, Rugged
Racer and High Way Star are all variations of the same mildly
entertaining racing game.

Boat Race is a racing game (mildly entertaining).
Grand Prix Champ is Boat Race again.
Thanks again to Lloyd, and g'night to everyone
else!
