Boss
Guide

Zone 0:
Mechanical Cleaner
The first boss of a
game should be the easiest one. And this reject
vacuum is damn easy!
A red bouncy ball is
placed in the middle of the screen. Get used to it,
since it will show up for every single boss. You
should know how to use it already since it really is
only a crate minus the ability to defend yourself by
hiding inside of it.
Two lightning bolts
are this guy's only weaponry. It will target the area
you are standing, so trick it into shooting at one of
the two ends of the screen. You could also just
simply go straight in the middle and dodge them.
Whichever way you choose, stand so that you are
aligned with the purple center of the robot. Then
throw the ball straight up (up+A) at its green bulb.
You'll know if your
hit was a success if the boss begins to flash. Five
hits and this cleaner turns into spare parts. Maybe
Gadget would like them.

Zone A: Owl
Wow. This is another
one of many pushover bosses. Pick up the ball and
avoid the owl's falling feathers. You can throw the
ball straight up to quickly end it or wait until it
flies down to the surface. Five hits and those animal
activistists will be on yer ass! But wait.. you ARE
an animal. God bless the food chain!

Zone B:
Alien Spaceship
This is the first
challenging boss of the game, but is still pretty
easy. The ship zooms across the screen and, before
going off-screen, drops two aliens to the ground at
different lengths of the area. One of the aliens will
immediately travel off-screen to the right/left and
the other in the opposite direction. When you know
which way the first slime will move to, you know the
other's movement (to the other direction) so that you
can prepare your jump over it. When you get the
chance, aim at the spaceship and shoot the ball
straight up at it.
The ship can also
travel low in an attempt to cause damage. This is the
perfect time to get in a hit since there aren't any
annoying aliens to deal with. Quickly throw the ball
sideways and jump over the ship as it passes closely.
Do not worry about losing the ball. Somehow it
manages to bounce back to the other end of the screen
for you to pick up again. Five hits make this alien
spaceship go BOOM!

Zone D:
Robot
Imagine Bowser's
final battle in Super Mario Bros. World ( an SNES
reference, my God!). Remember how you had to pick one
spot to stand in order to avoid being hit by the
falling fires? This is very similar.
The robot moves from
the right (off-screen) to halfway in the middle of
the screen. Pick up the ball and hit the robot's body
sideways (aim for the two yellow lights). It will
travel off and unleash a good amount of miniature
bouncy balls from the sky to harm you. Simply find a
big enough space between them and stand still until
the balls are all gone. Hit the menacing robo again
for four more times.

Zone E:
Flounder
Possibly the most
difficult boss thus far. But it's still child's play.
He attacks like the mechanical cleaner, except the
flow and amount of electric charges are much more
abundant. Just follow him around the screen as he
floats around and shoot upward whenever possible.
Five hits and he'll be food for the crabs.

Zone G:
Casino Cat
The game's somewhat
building challenge meter greatly drops because of
this idiot. Do not be fooled by the intimating
spikes. Casino cat is probably the easiest boss in
the entire game. Study the above picture. Notice how
his only weapon, coins, are falling straight down and
do not hit Dale. This is because the cat can only
throw them vertically right, left, and directly
downward. I can leave the game running, go downstairs
to have a pizza, come back up in a half an hour, and
the guy will still be throwing the coins straight
down missing me by a couple of inches.
Anyway, when you
have finished your pizza, move Chip a few steps to
the left and the finely dressed cat will change his
throwing pattern to throw left. This is your chance
to move under him and shoot upward before he changes
his coin pattern back. Retreat to your 'sweet spot'
and continue this pattern four more times.

Zone I:
Caterpillar
This is the most
challenging boss of the game. The caterpillar will
pace back and forth above until you hit it with the
ball. At the moment of impact, its portioned body
breaks a part and bounces to the ground around the
player. Use the same technique as you did with Zone
D's boss, just more quickly. When you see an open
spot between the bouncing body parts, run as soon as
possible to it and remain there until the body comes
back together. It takes some practice at first but
you should be able to complete the task. Trust me,
this is as hard as it gets boss-wise.

Zone J: Fat
Cat
Damn that is a big
cigar. Well, you have made it to the final boss of a
children's video game. A winnah shines inside of you!
Fat Cat really is not that hard at all. He attacks by
dropping his ashes to the ground around you. As you
can see by the animated picture, the ashes fly
outward and then steeply drop down.
Unlike the casino
cat, this guy has a much larger attack radius. Dodge
the ash and hit him five times.
I'll see YOU,
Fat Cat, in Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers 2!
