Walkthrough-Zone
D

Some helpful advice
from Gadget. She's smart and has a nice figure (for a
mouse), what a combination!
Zone D
The challenge is
greatly upped because of this zone. It still is not
hard, but there are some tricky spots to look out
for. And a wopping five new enemies are introduced in
this stage!

The first thing to
look out for is different colored crates. They are
really hidden enemies! When you get close to one, it
will spring up. Wait for it to be midway in the air
and then throw a crate. You can dodge most of these,
so don't bother hitting them. Just take it slow.

You will eventually
get to the jack-in-the-boxes. Drop to the bottom,
stand a good distance away (so not to trigger it to
life), and throw a crate its way. Continue on, do the
same for the next single jack. Pick up a crate and go
to the next screen. There are two jacks here. Use the
crate you have on the first, and the crate on top of
the wrapped toy for the other.

Look! Another new
bad guy! This spinner toy can be a pain if you don't
know what you are doing. It slowly spins sideways for
some seconds, then drops down left to right a few
times. If you are below him when he stops spinning,
you will get hurt. To make sure this does not happen,
throw a crate at it when it is not spinning. This
will cause it to spin faster than normal and offers
some time for you to cross underneath. Lightly
jump on the floor below him and cross. Another stands
in your way. Remove the crate directly to the left of
where it is spinning then use the same technique as
with the last spinner.
Go through the hole
to the next area.

Two more new enemies
coming up.. carpet rabbits and muscle birds. Carpet
rabbits set a pattern stream of moving carpet that
will cause damage. The first rabbit is a sinch to get
by, just jump over it and it will run away.
Head to the top
platform. Two more carpet rabbits are up there, so be
ready. A good strategy to use is to throw a crate
while moving onto new screens. That way you can nail
the rabbits without having to deal with the carpet
waves. After dealing with the two rabbits, a muscle
bird proudly struts at the end of the platform. This
guy takes two hits to take out, so just drop down a
level and avoid him.

Can you recall what
Gadget said at the beginning of the stage? You were
too busy staring at her sexy tail, weren't you?
Sighs... well, the next part of this area can be a
real pain to get through if you do not know what
you're doing. Grab a crate, inch your way to the end
of the first purple bar (see pic), stand underneath
the off/on switch, and throw the crate upward. It's
off! You are now free to move to the next screen
without having to worry about the dropping metal
balls.

Don't jump off of
the first silver platform to the second! You will
land on the switch and trigger the balls. Instead,
leave the crates found on the first platform intact
and simply walk off the edge. You won't fall of, just
drop down to the second floor and don't have to worry
about those annoying balls.

The third, and
final, platform is an easy one now that we know how
to work the switches. Walk on the switch (it will
then turn on), go to the crates on the left (an acorn
is hidden under one), and throw a crate to switch it
off. Move over a screen and to the next area of this
zone.

Uh oh! A lone
jack-in-the-box in the way and not a crate in sight.
Trigger the jack to life and wait for it to flop back
and forth. After a few seconds it will drop down
inside the box. Quickly move your way over it.
See those purple
bars? That is really one giant firecracker. Run,
without stopping, and jump onto the next platform.

Read this closely:
Pick up a crate, time the first spinner but do NOT
hit it with your crate! Carry it under the spinner
while it is slowly spinning. You can do two things
with this crate.
1.) You could use
the crate on the second spinner when it is not
spinning. Again, lightly jump underneath the second
spinner.

2.) You could time
the second spinner the same way you did with the
first. Then carry it up with you to hit the only
enemy crate on the second box.
If you used the
crate on the second spinner (1.), run past the baddie
when it is just about to spring up from the ground.
More enemy crates
after walking onto the right screen. You can drop
down and avoid both of them. Continue to walk across
the at the bottom. One final crate stands in your way
at the very end. Dispose of him and travel inside the
hole. Boss time!
